Deep Red Vest With Tie

control by the control, could be the motto of many organizations today. A colleague who has just been named CEO of a U.S. multinational company committed to me his frustration in the development of people management. He intended to submit its strategic plan at different locations, but many meetings and video conferences Central Europe and the move almost prevented him from office. And I fear that their experiences are the order of the day.

years we have been talking about managing people from more humanistic approaches that mechanistic but I think this has not yet reached management of the organization as a whole. Many companies are choking their teams with the request for data and more data. is no doubt that the information is crucial for decision-making, but level what is really necessary to add value? What is the cost of burdening the different teams with reports of all kinds? time is limited. If you offer to prepare reports, as in many organizations, is physically impossible dedicated to staying with customers.

According to quantum physics the observer affects the observed. If we do we aim to establish ratios, we are affecting the daily life of the equipment.

Years ago I worked with a director general requesting an captured on a server all purchases and sales data by hand because I could not wait for her "natural" process which in an "automatic" system facilitated the first thing the next day, . ... His anxiety required a person to be three hours typing a duplicate information. (Rework) something absurd, but it still happens now in many organizations.

The truth is that any change in this regard has three problems: On one hand, managers' fear, the more crisis, more need control, which reaches no doubt generate more stress. On the other hand the number of "departments and infrastructure created" whose sole existence is based on the tracking of such data and the third is that normally these "areas specially created to track this information" is staff "club of friends" either the "CFO" or "CEO" although they have neither the level, capacity and commitment they will be there, generating "critical information manual" with which the organization take decisions. "

Provides Value Is Control? Hopefully Crisis Have Many organizations Rethinking These systems weighing more functions where value is created than those who simply Anxieties of Directors meet or Justification for Jobs.
